Oktoberfest has opened in Munich after the ceremonial beer keg-tapping. Mayor Dieter Reiter officially started the 189th Oktoberfest at noon when he inserted the tap into the first keg.

Revelers celebrated to mark the official opening of the world’s largest folk festival, the 189th Oktoberfest in Munich.

West Michigan towns are holding Oktoberfest celebrations during the end of September and beginning of October.
