Election officials are raising concerns about the U.S. Postal Service's ability to handle this fall’s expected influx of election mail. But USPS say it’s ready to deliver the country’s ballots.

Voters in the state of Illinois will face a series of advisory questions on their 2024 general election ballots, with early voting set to begin later this month.

Central Illinois voters will go to the polls on Nov. 5 to help decide a number of local and statewide races. Two Peoria-area congressional seats are up for grabs, but only one of them is a contested election. U.S. Rep. Darin LaHood, R-Dunlap, is running unopposed in the election for Illinois' 16th Congressional District.

In addition to the presidential election, Missouri voters will pick a governor and vote on several high-interest ballot measures.
