Share market today: The two key equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty, on Tuesday climbed to their fresh all-time highs amid volatility, tracking by the record overnight close on Wall Street. At 10.35 am, the BSE Sensex gained 83 points to a new high of 85,011. On the other hand, the NSE Nifty50 was trading at 25,972, rising 34 points.

On Monday, both the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 reached record highs before closing the session at these elevated levels. The BSE Sensex climbed by 384 points (0.45%) to finish at 84,928.61, after hitting a peak of 84,980 earlier. The Nifty 50 also reached an all-time high of 25,956, closing up by 148 points (0.57%) at 25,939.

Sensex scaled the 85,000 level and Nifty breached the 26,000 mark for the first time before paring gains to close flat in a volatile session on Tuesday, dragged by losses in FMCG and select banking shares.

In the morning trade, the 30-share BSE Sensex scaled the 85,000 level for the first time, while the NSE Nifty hit the historic 26,000 mark during the fag-end.
