TORONTO -- Lanny McDonald, Chair of the Board of the Hockey Hall of Fame, announced today new appointments to the Hockey Hall of Fame Selection Committee as confirmed at the Directors’ meeting held yesterday in Toronto.

Four years after being named a Hall of Famer himself, Jarome Iginla will now be part of the selection committee deciding who else gets in. The Calgary Flames ’ all-time leader in goals, points and games played — among many other things — was named to the Hockey Hall of Fame selection committee on Tuesday morning alongside Ed Olczyk.

The Hockey Hall of Fame has added two new members to its selection committee. Former NHL forwards Jarome Iginla and Eddie Olczyk have joined the committee, replacing David Branch and Mike Gartner, who have each served a full 15-year term, the Hall announced on Tuesday.
